United States: Millions of Americans use the herbal supplement kratom, but its dangers are becoming more apparent.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has already issued a warning to avoid OPMS Black Liquid Kratom after receiving a report of a person who died after using it.

The FDA noted this is just one of many serious adverse events linked to the supplement.

FDA Issues Safety Alert

Here, the Kratom is an herbal supplement or a booster we ca say  which is derived from the dried leaves of a  particular an a specific tropical evergreen tree in the coffee family, and a chemical called mitragynine found in kratom tweaks some of the same specific  brain receptors or can say the receivers  that have responded to opioids.

These particular overdoses of mitragynine are toxic to the liver and can prove fatal.

Kratom which has been used for the centuries in its own home which is f southeast Asia to produce increased energy and the relaxation which is according to the U. S National Institute on Drug Abuse.

 As reported by HealthDay, this drug is particularly unregulated, and anyone can buy kratom online and it can be found in the convenience stores and the specific gas stations and the vape shops and some bars serving botanical drinks offer kratom tea.

Here almost about 1.7 million individuals 12 and older used kratom in the United States and other regions of the it in 2021 and this is according to the national survey on drug or medicine use.

Health Risks Highlighted

The new alert from the FDA noted that many users of OPMS black liquid kratom reported that adverse health effects include the withdrawal symptoms, addiction and digestive issues and the restless leg syndrome and the skin problems and the aggressive behaviour increased anxiety which also lacks some energy and the inability to focus.

“The FDA is issuing this safety and emergency alert to warn consumers about serious adverse health effects associated with OPMS Black Liquid Kratom,” the agency said. “We note that consumers may believe kratom products are safe because kratom is a plant material and is available online and in some retail stores such as vape/smoke shops.”
